Let in more light
Bi-fold doors have become increasingly popular in modern architectural design and home renovations, especially if you’re looking to create a more open and spacious living area. They offer many benefits, both functional and aesthetically:
- Space-Saving: Bi-fold doors fold back onto themselves, allowing for maximum use of space. This can be especially beneficial in smaller rooms or areas where space is limited, as they don’t swing open like traditional doors.
- Natural Light: Bi-fold doors feature large glass panels, which allow natural light to flood into the room. This can create a bright and airy living space, reducing the need for artificial lighting and enhancing the overall ambiance of the room.
- Indoor-Outdoor Living: Bi-fold doors are perfect for creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. When fully opened, they can effectively blur the lines between the interior and exterior of a property, allowing homeowners to enjoy the benefits of both spaces. There are many benefits to bringing the outdoors in, read our blog post to learn more.
- Energy Efficiency: High-quality bi-fold doors can offer excellent thermal performance, helping to insulate your home and reduce energy bills. Look for doors with triple glazing and thermal breaks for the best energy efficiency.
- Security: Modern bi-fold doors are equipped with advanced locking systems and durable materials, providing a high level of security for your home or commercial space.
- Aesthetic Appeal: Bi-fold doors can add a stylish and modern touch to any property. Their sleek and minimalist design can enhance the overall aesthetic of your home.
- Increased Property Value: Installing bi-fold doors can increase the value of your property, as they are considered a desirable feature by many homebuyers.

*powder coated refers to the coating we use to paint our products. Powder-coated products are generally a lot more resistant to wear and tear from moisture, impact, chemicals, fading, weathering and corrosion.
**thermally broken refers to the aluminium frame including a thermal break. A thermal break is a piece of material that’s placed in the frame to minimise heat loss and ensure optimal thermal performance.
*** BS EN1279 parts 2 & 3 are parts of a multi-series of European standards on insulating glass units. Tests must be passed to achieve this Quality Standard for Gas-Filled Insulating Glazing.
